My new years resolution is to get a six pack. I lost a bunch of weight before, but I never got rid of the last 10 pounds. I am already muscular, but I am having trouble with the abs. How do I tighten up my little flab on my stomach? I need some dieting & exercise advice.

hi yahoo ,

i’m a 16 year old male who works out and wants to know how to get those six-pack abs.
i recently started running every morning for like 30-60 minutes (depends).
is that daily cardio good to have abs , or is doing it daily too much and will i need to rest a day or more in between?.
i’m also doing regular abs exercises like crunches etc.I’m also afraid the daily cardio will make me lose muscle mass (chest,arms etc.) cause it(running) burns fat all over the body right ?
whats a good way to have those abs combinding cardio with exercise and dieting?
how long and how often do i need to do cardio , combined with exercise?
whats a proper diet ?
please answer my question =)

ok im trying to get a more defined six pack. will this help stengthen my abdominals? and recover them? if not what supplement can help me lose fat and get strong good looking abdominals? thank u

well there is not a supplement that targets abs. if u only work out ur abs. ur wasting ur time looking for a supplement. your main problem(i assume) is a thin layer of fat covering them(everyone has six pack underneath there) you need to do cardio and lose the rest of the fat. you need to be under 10%bf to have really good ab definition. thats not an easy thing to do, just eat right and do cardio. unless you lift weights supplements are not necessary.

Can you get a six pack without any sort of training?

My friend has a ‘six pack’ but the only exercise he does is football. He is really skinny round the abdominals so i say that without training of some sort you won’t have a real muscular stomach. But he says i’m jealous and he has a natural six pack. So is it possible to just have a six pack?

Some people are more genetically gifted than others. I think we all know at least one dude that barely touches a weight and has at least one bodypart that we envy.

If you are serious about it, then a month or two. (Maybe even three or more)
I was surprised how fast i got mine.
Good exercises and work outs would be crunches, sit ups, curl ups but mostly crunches.
There is another good workout i know but i forgot the name. Its good for your lower abs. You lay flat on the floor, have your hands behind your head like you would in a sit up. then raise your legs up toward you, back down to the floor and repeat.

Work out every other day. If you want to exercise every day then the days you don’t work out you can do stretches and simple exercises such as running or biking.

Whats the most effective way to get a six-pack?

IM currently 16, 160lbs, 5’6. I used to weigh 190lbs about 4 months ago. Im really active, no lying, and workout out. But no matter what i do i cant seem to lose the weight on my stomach. I eat well, veggies, proteins, fibers, fruits, etc etc. Id say i eat about 2000-1500 calories a day. I started benching about a month ago and my arms are already bigger/harder and cut with little to no fat. But still, my torso area is "chubby". I dont know what to DO!!!! I run 6 laps(1mileand1/4) a day, do six sets of stadium stairs, and six sets of these huge hills we have at school everyday. Then i have brazilian jiu jitsu practice for 4 hours, again, everyday!!!!! I cant possibly exercise more AND i cant cut more calories(i need how much i have now for the enrgy for practice). Do i just do regualr sit-ups? I need a detailed list of things to do to lose weight on my stomach. I know that to lose weight on you chest area and pecks, just do pushups and bench. Thanks.
–BTW-
I do 4 sets of 25 crunches before i go to sleep everynight…and nothings changed, need stuff for lats, and lower abdominals, etc. I tryed looking at youtube vids but theres so many vids so i just need the most effective and fastest workout for abs.

I’ve been working out the past 2 years on and off. I’m 13 weigh 128 pounds and im 5 foot 7. I usually drink a lot of water but I also drink pop and sometimes I eat very healthy while other days i eat total crap. I play basketball a lot and I also get atleast 60 minutes of exercises every day no matter what. I thought in order to get abs you need to have a good diet and good exercise? Why am I like this? Can you tell me what I can do in order to become very healthy and perhaps improve my abdominals so they are stronger?

Everyone has abs. Most people just have a layer of fat covering them. If you exercise at least 60 minutes a day, you’re probably burning the calories from the unhealthy stuff you eat. If you do crunches or other ab exercises, you’ll see improvement.

I want yo loose 35 pounds in 3 months…any suggestions!?

I am a male, 15 years old, weight 155 pounds. I am out in the acting industry and want to go on to modeling. And I want to do this fast. I have to loose weight and have those hardcore six pack abdominals. I would like suggestions. I am currently going to Bally total Fitness, but just happen to have no support. I cant afford to hire a personal trainer, but I need support to help keep me motivated in the gym….Please help! (any supplements, vitamins, diet pills…)

try the soup diet. quick fix but it works. it’s healthy cuz it’s recommended by the heart and stroke foundation and they give it to their patients to lose weight prior to surgery. usually you lose 10-15 pounds on the diet. if not, excercise, portion control and drink lots of water!

i want to get a six pack but only have a four pack right now. .. what exercise can you do ?? leg lifts ?

Pull yourself up on a pull up bar.Fingers facing out.Then bring both your legs up together so your body is like an L.Your legs have to be flat and bring them up slowly and drop them slowly.You might want to add weights on your feet also,because like your biceps to make them bigger and more noticable,you have to strengthen them to make them grow.Or your bodyfat might be a little too high.

ok ive been going to the gym regulary. i start wif a 10 min run on a quite fast jog (dont kno if this means anythin but i put it on 13Km) then i do a 2000m row(on level 5) which usually takes 10mins then i do well i cant rele remember da names but i do da chest press for 5mins on a weight tht is pretty easy then change the weight on a heavier weight cause every1 tells me more reps for definition and less reps but heavier weights for bigger muscles or sumthin lol then i go on another machine similar to the chest press but ur not pushin out but pullin in, its for ur chest aswell anyway skippin on then i go on thess leg machines ones for ur hamstrings i think and u pull in and the other one i dont kno wat muscles it builds but u push out and finally i go on the crunch machine i use 2 feel no burn on my stomach even if it was on a heavy weight i jus gt tired but my sis told me 2 focus on ur abdominals more than jus usin ur arms so now yeah i can feel the almighty BURN lol so an estimate?

Diet is the first step towards a six pack, and just do a lot of cardio and through in 100-200 sit ups and leg lifts a day. Will see some definition within the first 2 weeks. Rock hard six packs take months.
