-go from whole milk to 1 percent, or even fat free
-Studies in Harvard show that that soft drinks may be responsible for the doubling of obesity in children in the United States over the last 15 years. out of seven days of the week, dont drink any soda for atleast 4 days. drink a healthy juice, that is all natuaral, or water
-WATER WATER WATER WATER!!! it speeds up ur matabolism and it gives you beautiful skin!
-obviously exercise. but if you want to aerobics, because that speeds up ur matabolism. the faster your matabolism is, the more calories you burn, the faster you lose weight.
-if you are going to do strength training, your going to gain weight because your building muscle. muscle weighs more than fat. so dont be afraid if the scale says your getting bigger, cause muscle appears smaller than fat so you will in all reality be smaller.
-this is an obvious one, but eat less fatty foods. eat more veggies and keep your meat and carbs in proportion.
-cut out the junk food. only have it when you are reallllyyy craving it.
-soups with low fat content are great. if they have a lot of veggies, thats a great meal
-foods that make your matabolism faster: water, green tea, soup, grapefruit, asparagas, low fat yogurt, oatmeal, hot peppers.
-foods that lower your matabolism, and therefor, on a diet you shouldnt eat them: alcohol[full of sugar and fat, and it slows ur matabolic rate], sugar, startchy foods as in white bread or pasta, prosessed foods [like choclate bars, chips], &FRIED FOODS!!! they are full of saturated fat!
-cut out fast food completely!!! its the worst thing you can eat!
- substitute your white flour foods with whole wheat and grains. its healthier than flour
-dont go on any of those fad diets, like cutting out carbs completely, or only eatting protien because those have health risks that you shouldnt be willing to take.
- in a meal, the intake of meat should only be the size of a deck of cards. no bigger.
-try to stay active during the day. dont take the easy way out, instead of using an elevator do the stairs
-dont believe the fast food places when they say they’ve gone healthy! a salad at mcdonalds has MORE calories than a big mac!! 560 vs 960

Tips for fat loss and muscle gain? How to stay committed?

I burn about 1,000 calories a day exercising and I’m 17. I weigh 158 and am 6 feet tall I want to lose fat and put on lean muscle. Tips? How long until I see progress? What should my workouts be like in terms of weight training. I’m doing heavy cardio in addition to weight lifting until February then weights from there until June. What kind of results should I expect to see?

try doing weight training first.. 40-60 mins.. then cardio exercise after u do weights
the fat burning capacity is much faster this way

when u lose most of ur fat.. cut the cardio in half

i have tried many ways of weight loss including doing some exercise together (walking only) … but i now have backache problem and can not walk for an hour per day as usual … i do not eat much but my age is 51 and i find it’s so difficult to reduce the existing weight (65kilos at 1m53 tall)

Moreover, these drinks do not give the body a sense of fullness and barely suffice the hunger pangs.
Downsizing your meal plates would help further. Due to its low capacity, a comparatively small plate would contain less food. Moreover, since you would be more calorie conscious, you would opt for more healthy food items in that small plate, leaving less space for the non-healthy, fattening options.
Binge eating in cases when one goes over emotional, such as in cases of sadness, remorse, happiness, is not good for the health. Avoid this habit as it would lead you to regret later.
A positive state of mind towards your goal of losing weight, walking or jogging in the morning, eating a health oriented breakfast would definitely help you achieve it.
Eat a fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Whole foods keep you satisfied much longer than a box of apple juice, so you will eat less overall.
Opt for eating water-rich food such as tomatoes, zucchini, even cucumbers during meals to reduce overall calorie consumption.
If you want to have coffee or tea with your breakfast, take a cup of regular coffee with skimmed milk, which has only a small fraction of calories. which double due to whole milk, whipped cream, sugar, and sugary syrups when had had those fancy coffee joints.
Eat cereal for breakfast five days a week to reduce the likeliness to be obese and have diabetes
Therefore, the key is to consume small portions of food and make sure you chew them well. Try taking out some time for breakfast and include only healthy food items in it. Eating fast food must be avoided because not only are they least nutrient, but also responsible for building unhealthy fat in the body. My number 1 holiday fat loss tip for staying lean this holiday season is to stick to your diet and exercise program. Don’t purposely give up and eat like a pig 7 days a week just because it’s the holidays.

For example, when halloween rolls around that’s 1 day when you should have some candy in the house to give out to Trick Or Treaters. It doesn’t mean that you stock up 3 weeks in advance and have a daily sample of all the different treats you’ve got.

The same thing with Thanks Giving and Christmas. Those are days when we get together with family and friends to celebrate and indulge in a good home cooked meal along with some tasty home made desserts. It doesn’t mean that you have to purposely pig out on sweets and desserts everyday for the weeks leading up to these holidays.

My 2nd Holiday fat loss tip is to keep your home base clean. If you don’t keep junk food in your house, then you can’t eat it, simple as that. The idea of keeping a steady supply of cake, cookies, chips, etc. in the cupboards at all times just in case someone comes by for a visit is pure stupidity.

If you have junk food in your house, you are going to eventually eat it. But by keeping only healthy foods such as lean protein, green veggies, and healthy complex carbs in your home then you remove the temptations to cheat. Sure you can go and buy some tasty treats for that 1 day where you have a preplanned holiday meal, but once that special day is over, get rid of the junk food. And get right back on your clean healthy eating plan.

My 3rd Holiday Fat Loss Tip is to up your cardio. Now you should be doing cardio year round anyway as part of your overall bodybuilding and fitness routine. But when you know you are going to pig out on a certain day. Up your cardio for several days before as well as several days after that big meal.

My 4th Holiday Fat Loss Tip. Do a heavy leg or back workout before your big meal. Training the big muscles of the legs and back will burn the most calories. Then when you eat a cheat meal afterwards those calories are more likely to go towards recovery and muscle growth, rather then getting stored as bodyfat.

My 5th Holiday Fat Loss Tip. Cycle your calories around your cheat meals. If you know that you’re going to indulge in some high calorie goodies on a particular day. Purposely follow a low carb diet for several days leading up to your big cheat meal. This will deplete your glycogen stores, help your body burn stored bodyfat, and then when you do eat that high calorie, high carb meal those extra calories will be more likely get shuttled towards replenishing your glycogen levels, rather then getting stored as
unwanted bodyfat.
