How long does it take to get a ripped and lean body
If you are devoted and do the right stuff, you will start to notice a small chanvge in 3 weeks and a huge change in 3 months. Get this book "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle", by Tom Venuto. It worked for me and changed my lifestyle.

I am 13 and i really want to lose belly fat.
I also want to maintain a good healthy weight.
I want to eat healthy but am not sure of what types of foods would be helpful.

Simple. Just exercise more and eat less (and healthier). Try to only eat when you’re hungry and eat smaller portions (like instead of eating a whole bag of chips, eat a small bowl and savor it). Don’t eat just because you’re bored and don’t eat in front of the computer or TV. Make healthier meals with lots vegetables and full grains. Drink skim milk at dinner but drink water the rest of the day. You can still enjoy a few cookies or a bowl of ice cream, just don’t overdo it.
For exercise, make it a goal to do something physical every day. You could take the dog for a walk, go biking, go for a jog, swim a few laps, do some hard yard work, go for a hike, do some sit ups and pushups, try yoga, or watch a workout video! Don’t make up complicated routines or anything; you’re less likely to keep up. It’s okay if you miss a day or two; just make sure you start back up again the next day.
Also, don’t forget to take a multivitamin and get enough sleep! Good luck, you can do it!

I used to be extremely skinny, but I put on a bit of weight and can’t seem to get it off. (Especially in the upper leg area). I eat foods that are quite healthy and I don’t over eat, so I’m guessing that the fat will come off with good exercise.
Please do not give me exercises that will bulk up my legs like squats and lunges. The majority of exercise books say that those exercises will not help me get thin legs.
ALSO
All of my family members are really skinny (even the boys!), so I know that the fat storage isn’t genetic like a lot of people like to say.
I would just like an example exercise routine and what times I can do them.
I am a bit taller then 5’8" and have a thin body frame. (WHICH JUST MAKES THE FAT 100% worse!!)
Regarding genetics, remember recessive genes. Your skeleton is thin, but your fat distribution is how it is. Since you are thin by nature, maybe dance will help. You would want to build your quads to give your legs a more athletic appearance. This is from a book by elite athlete Diana Nyaad, but I no longer have it. She says athletes don’t worry about thigh fat, but about strength. For professional help, see a licensed trainer. Be prepared for hard work. But, don’t stop eating. Try fun sports with friends. Check your posture as well, and read about Pilates at the library. Avoid unknown websites due to viruses. You can achieve results at home with climbing stairs, exercise tubing, and using visualization. Also, don’t give yourself bad messages. People with the funds have elective procedures to eliminate problem areas. Case in point, both of my sisters. You never know, so work hard, but be realistic in goals.
