good exercises for a six pack?

i want some strong abdominals by about september . its not for any event or anything but i would like a better stomach. im almost 18 & weigh 110lbs so im not dealing with pudge. i have a good gym membership & i go about 3 times a week. i go on the treadmill for about 10 minutes, stretch for about 5, machines for arms, thighs, one for abs and one for lower back/spinal area, and then go on the elliptical or treadmill again for 20-30 minutes. i have a weird problem with my abs in that i cant do more than about 20 good crunches because i get a strange muscle spasm that my doctor cant figure out (i think its from doing a lot of incorrect crunches about 5 years ago) so im somewhat limited in my ab exercises. would running help? what types of machines should i use? i know iron mans/planks (push up position balancing on forearms and toes and hold) feel like they work pretty well but what else?

Sit ups, in my opinion, are a waste of time. You will not create a nice sleek abdominal area doing sit ups. You will however create a bulkier muscle, which may make your tummy look a little bigger! Sit ups are rather like doing bicep curls for the tummy muscles!

You can’t spot reduce fat from your body with exercise, but you can lose fat from your body.

Your body will take its energy from where ever it chooses, and, it usually isn’t from the areas you want reducing!

Try power walking every day, and, if you are able to get to a Pilates matwork class, this will lengthen, strengthen & tone your body – in particular your mid-section.

They are easy to do, FREE and really do work!

If you are self-conscious about your tummy, look at your body and decide what you like best, then make the most of your favourite area.

If your tummy is your problem area, don’t wear anything that is going to make this look fat. Show off your good bits, that way no one will notice your imperfections and think you look fab!

Im 175 pounds and 5’8. Im not fat but, i could do with losing a couple of pounds. Ive been going to the YMCA for the last couple of months but i havent really lost weight. Could someone give me maybe some exercise routines or tips for building abs and weight loss?

How can a lose belly fat without pills and only takes a few minutes everyday ?

I ‘ m 14 and i don ‘ t have A LOT of belly fat , but i want to lose what i have and firm my tummy (:

i can ‘ t take the pills to shed the weight ( obviously )
but a 5-10 minute work out you could tell me everyday that i could use please and thank you(:

I stoped drinking soda, and lost 10 pounds. Or at least when i do its diet.

-Start drinking Green Tea, It helps boost metabolism, (coffee isnt bad either, but green tea is the best)
-Maybe start walking a bit, it’s great before bed, it makes you feel so good!
-No non-diet pop.
-And fill up on foods with fiber.
-Fiber really fills you up.
-Aviod diets that consist of you only eat one or very few of the same things for a week. (Its not healthy)
-Make sure to get your calcium daily. But if you choose milk, try 1% or skim, i know its gross, but it has the same nurtition but less fat.

That combined with daily exercise can help you lots, even if its just 10 mins of dancing, or push ups, or well, anything active that you want to do!!!

how long will it take to get six pack abs?

I’m 20 yrs of age and weigh 63 kg my height is about 172 cm.
i cycle for 45 minutes a day
do 50 push ups a day
half an hour for biceps
half an hour for abs?
help me out

Depends on your present condition (body fat Index).

You and every one has 6 packs Or I should say 8 packs, they may be just not visible as they are berried under the fat tissue. If you eat right, ie the right amount of calories then they will be visible in 4 weeks for sure, your work out routine is more then enough, for it abs to be visible, only the fat in the cuts should go way and that happens with abdominal exercises, in few weeks. At that point do not give up on the abdominal exercises.

The additional abbs exercises is available from cycling as a bonus if you use racing handles and use proper posture so that your stomach is pushed in while riding the bicycle.

I want those six pack abs.?

I’m 5’6" and I weigh 140 lbs.
Currently, I’m not in BAD shape, but my stomach is sorta chubby. It looks flat, but there are "layers", if you know what I mean.
I was wondering if this was a good workout for the abdominals.

As of now, I do 3 sets of crunches until failure with 3 minute rest intervals in between.
Also, I do them laying on a pillow so that I can get that arch for my abs to contract.
Then later in the day, I do about 45-60 minutes of cardio.
I work on abdominals 3 times a week.

Another thing, I’ve stopped drinking soda, eating fast food (except subway) and junk food. However, once in a while is okay, but not too much.

Is this a good workout? I asked my friend this and he says I need more variety, instead of just crunches. What do you guys think?

Should I add more exercises or am I okay with this as of now? And am I doing too much cardio? Just how much is TOO much? Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

Help making a diet to get ripped?

I have made a diet to help me get ripped. I didn’t actually make it, it’s more based on Rain’s diet for Ninja Assassin.

I plan to eat only vegetables, lentils, plain boiled chicken breast, milk, and every now and again some plain boiled beef. I was wondering what you guys thought of this diet, and if you could add any tips or anything, it would be appreciated.

O shit hahaha!!! dang i thought you said breast milk xD sry. I am tryn to do the same but getting ripped and getting big muscle mass (with abs) takes a bit longer. just run ALOT ALOT. and hit the fucking bench along with squats dont forget to work out ya legs u dnt wnna have big upper body and no fkn leggs like a dumb bitch ass jock in highschool. Just pump iron and run and you will be good.

How long should I run every day to lose belly fat?

I intend to go running every morning, or later in the day if I have work in the morning. How long should I run for each time? I really want to lose my belly fat. I’m 22, 5’6 and I weigh 123lbs. I don’t look fat, but I want to have a flat belly.

i had the exact same issue with stomach fat. I would not recommend runny everyday, but everyother day, i wouldnt worry about distance so much as time. i would recommend maybe 20 min. of a steady-paced run, STAY HYDRATED. on the days off (if your focus is belly fat) do some sit ups or push ups (although push ups are primarily a chest, arms, shoulders, and back workout; it elongates your upper abdomen giving you a mild ab workout.)
