I know that there are a lot of questions in this category, I just need some help..
I am an ex-athlete that had a high metabolism when I was active…Now that I am a little older it has caught up to me. I am 5’11" and weight about 210 (more of a muscular build though) and need to get rid of the "spare tire". Runnig can be a chore for me because I blew out a knee and still have problems with it…
Mind you I do still like to go out and have an occasional drink, which I limit to Vodka and Soda water…I have cut out beer and wine and have cut out most breads from my diet…Where do I go from here.

Limit these foods to once or twice a week, they really put the weight on! cheeses, sodas, chips, fast foods, fried foods, sweet treats. Eat fresh fruits, more veggies.
Be sure to eat a good breakfast.
Cut your portions in half later in the day, especially at dinner.
If you eat anything after dinner, make sure it’s healthy.
Drink alot of water.
Keep active, park far away from the store, walk, walk, walk!
If you do eat bread (and it’s ok) eat wheat. Try to not cut out all of your breads, this is carb and it gives you energy, you’ll get too tired if you don’t have any.
No bacon or sausage or eggs except for once a week.
Exercise! This will speed your weight loss.

i had my belly button peirced without my parents knowing ,, but within a month i found myself in a cat fight ,, which shouldnt hav been to much of a problem seeings that im a red belt in martial arts , but the chick saw my belly bar and ripped it out -.- anyways , i didnt tell anyone , but theres like this scar and its pink ,, its been a few months now , but its still pink . anyways , how do i get rid of it?? its quite ugly .

go buy some Mederma cream and apply it to the scar as directed. It takes a month or so but it will reduce and fade the scar. also avoid direct sunlight on the scar.

im 14 and recently ive noticed myself eating more and more so i want to lose weight . And i want to be able to see my abs again . I dont wanna take any medications or drugs . Do you guys have any exercises that will make my abs come back ? or diets that can make me lose more belly fat ?
Take more sports and try to control yourself. Its all hormones going out of control. I’ve had the same problem and you will be happy with yourself.

I do lots of cardio by playing sports, and I lately I’ve been lifting weights twice a week while taking whey and my arms have gotten quite a bit bigger. I have pretty low body fat and I’m pretty lean. What is the best way for me to get a six pack? Should I just continue my normal routine and do 30 situps a night or something? Thanks.
If you already have a low body fat percentage than doing situps and crunches will help you. Don’t go crazy with them. A lot of people go to the gym and fo hundreds of situps and crunches every day. They treat their abs differently from every other muscle in the body. Treat them the same as you would any other muscle and you will see improvements.

can someone help me with a seven day workout routine that i can repeat every week on how to get rock hard abdominals or noticeable abs. I am 13 weighing 108 pounds 5foot 1 and have a bit of fat covering my abs but underneath i can feel them especially while doing planks/ leg lifts. If someone had a good idea for me and a seven day workout plz tell me. Also I would like the answer to include how long this workout would take to get noticeable abs. I would also like to find out the best abdominal and cardio excercise or any useful websites. thanks
planks and leglifts etc won’t help…If u only have a bit of fat covering your stomach you just have to burn off the fat to reveal your six pack do cardio alot like 3-5 days a week and do 1-2 strength training sessions this will help u get your six pack in no time…But I actually suggest that you dnt try to get abs now your only 13 and still growing it will be unhealthy and u cud end up gettin overweight wen ur older…oh wat da heck! GO 4 IT…I’m only 13 aswell I shudnt have told u all that stuff about it being unhealthy coz I work out too so soz ma bad…neways jus eat healthy too ok and i’m sure you wil get your six pack!

what are some good foods that are nutritous, low in fat, and leave you feeling full when trying to lose fat? any other fat loss tips as well would be nice
Eat a lot of low fat protien, chicken was an excellent recommendation. Certain nuts, like walnuts and pecans, are great to have on hand to snack on because they have protien. Protien keeps you feeling full. Also distract yourself, don’t think of eating as an event or a pleasurable thing. When you are trying to lose weight food its important to focus on every meal from the beginning or you will end upon a yo-yo pattern.

I keep hearing that you need to burn fat along with doing crunches to lose belly fat. I have been naturaly extremely thin most of my life and in the last couple years have started putting on some weight. I love my body much better now that i have weight on but now I have a belly. Im going on vacation soon and would love to show off the figure that i now have but not with my belly like this. Im scared if I excercise, jog, situps and crunches etc. to lose the belly fat I will end up losing weight in other places also. Any ideas?
it is physiologically impossible to cause localized fat loss through diet and exercise. it’s good that you have been able to increase the body weight but the fact that while even being "thin" you are gaining body fat this is a sign that your insulin sensitivity is low and that you need to eat more of the right kinds of foods and exercise more. when the muscles are exercised they respond better to the effects of insulin and they uptake more nutrients. the more nutrient uptake in skeletal muscle the less will get stored in the fat cells

Hello fellow Yahoo-Answerers!
Here is some random information. I am 17, male, 150 lbs. I am not sure of my exact fat percentage although I am sure it is <18. 15-18 I would say. Currently my goal is to get six pack abs.
Every day I have been eating 1300-1600 calories total. Drinking the recommended 8 cups of water or more. Been eating small meals all day. I workout almost every day hitting every muscle group a couple times a week. Every other day I am doing a couple hundred crunches, and some leg raises, and some bicycle crunches.
I plan to add in SOME cardio. Although I am sure my pushups, bench pressing / lifting burns a fair amount of calories.
Is my current plan going to eventually lead to a six pack? Any suggestions on what I should add to it?

Not sure if it will lead to abs, it probably will, but most importantly it sounds like a very healthy lifestyle. Keep it up
