However, when a person shuns these foods in lieu of lean meats, low-starch vegetables and whole grains he or she will enjoy a faster metabolism and fewer hunger pains. When carbohydrates are restricted, the body is forced to break down stored fat, resulting in rapid weight loss. Additionally, if one does not revert back to a high starch diet, the unwanted pounds will not reappear in the future.
Avoiding Alcohol
Those who wish to shed weight quickly should avoid alcohol. Alcoholic drinks are rich in carbohydrates and sugar, making alcohol a calorie dense substance. Empty calories of this type quickly add up and detract from the necessary nutrients that one should consume as part of a healthy diet. In addition, alcohol acts as an inhibitor to the body’s fat burning process, which encourages one’s body to store fat in unsightly places.
Quick weight loss is not out of reach when the aforementioned tips are followed. However, dieters must take their goals seriously and wholeheartedly commit to their chosen plan. Additionally, it is also wise to discuss the pros and cons of any new diet program with one’s primary health care practitioner.

I used to be obese but now I’m not. In fact, if I wore a shirt, you wouldn’t consider me fat.
However, there is some fat in my chest and belly that I would like to get rid of so I could have a flat body.
I go to the gym 4 times a week and do both resistance and weight training. I run 1 KM on the days I work out.
Here are some things i hear about: 6 meals a day/ low carb diet/ low fat diet.
Can you give me some tips or elaborate on the above?
Good question. The 6 meals a day is popular because it keeps your metabolism going while also not leaving long periods between meals so that when meals come along you dont go crazy because you’re so hungry. A low carb diet has worked for some but your body needs carbs to function. Instead of going low carb you can be more conscious of the type of carbs you are eating. Processed white bread vs. whole wheat bread. Also finding a carbohydrate with added or natural fiber is beneficial. This also goes for sugar, sugar is just a simple carbojydrate, so watch that too. You would be surprised by how much sugar can be found diet food or food you never thought would have added sugar. Low fat is where it gets tricky. You should watch your fat intake but a lot people focus on trans fat which by standards in the U.S has a loop hole, if the trans fat content is 0.5g they can round it down to 0g. Make sure you check ingredient labels before buying something claiming that. Avoid it if it has hydrogenated oils. Its all personal preference, everything should be done in moderation and under observation of a doctor to make sure you remain at your healthiest.

I had a shirt that got a small hole in it and over a short amount of type and minimum handling the hole grew bigger and bigger and now it’s 5x as big. However, that shirt was thin material, and the hole was not made on purpose. I’m wondering how other people handle their shirts with holes in them–if they can only be handwashed, or if they can be washed in the machine but in one of those lingerie pouches, if the hole typically gets bigger pretty quickly?
I would hand wash them or do the lingerie pouch, holes will get bigger in the wash if the machine has an agitator(which it probably does)
